beauty rebels · the visage nature

Beauty rebels is an artistic project that gathers a collection of illustrated faces through the drawing. We focus, in this project, on the stereotype of contemporary young female model with physical features that have the peculiarity of not being habitual. We defend, then, the representation of the changes in the beauty canon through the contemporary stereotype of the woman-model. Beauty rebels represent the pursuit of beauty. From the philosophy and ancestral principle of the Japanese wabi-sabi we propose and project a homage to the "imperfections" that make us unique. A gold touch that turns our differences to something special and remarkable as the Kintsugi art does. The universal beauty is human nature in its heterogeneity and, in art, it generates the main key of admiration.
